Coming and Going

Young, highly educated new residents are driving demand

The chart depicted to the left showcases the social ramifications of gentrification, while there is nothing wrong with the idea of anĀ  highly educated group of peoples entering the city, what happens as a result is housing markets boost as a reflection of newer and more "higher-learning oriented" job positions flood the market. This begets displacement as those who did not have the opportunity or the same position to gain these same job opportunities are not capable of affording the homes which pricing wise boosts at a sporadic rate.
